Kaviar Forge & Gallery is opening the doors of their brand new gallery on Frankfort Ave with the artwork of Laura Roth. Beginning October 18th and running until December 1st her series, "Past, Present, & Richard" will be on display. This exhibit is a reflection on the past year of Roth’s life and the importance of the simple moments in life. Each moment that Roth paints may seem like a everyday occurrence but, her ability to make them pop of the canvas with new energy is what makes her work so unique.

A native to Louisville Roth attended Dupont Manual and later graduated from the Cincinnati Academy of Art. After moving back to Louisville with her husband, Roth was part of a group exhibit, at Kaviar Gallery, featuring local artists. She was one of the events stand out artists. We believe she is one of Louisville up and coming artist .She currently volunteers at an After School Program that travels to different schools around town and focuses on the importance of developing children’s artistic abilities.

Influenced by Alice Neal and Gustav Klimt Roth has taken the reins on her own creative style. Her process begins with a blurry image that she continues to paint different layers and hues upon until an clear image emerges. This gives her paintings a multitude of dimensions that enables the viewer, to see something different in them each time. You can see Roth’s love of exploring peoples personalities in her paintings. In the end it is Roth’s ability to paint the simple moments and make them an intricate response to the fleeting passing of time that is so remarkable.

It has been said that life is a series of tiny moments, Roth's work exemplifies this statement and shows us that each moment is a beautiful part of who we are. Please join Kaviar Forge and Gallery in celebrating Laura’s amazing talent.
